I’ve been feeling for some time that I have the opportunity to share a bit of myself with others online. It’s something I’ve been going back and forth about for a while, especially in knowing what it was that I could share. The first “ah ha!” moment I had was the blog/YouTube name: My Little Light. How perfect! I don’t feel like I have much to share, but I have a little, and I know God can make a lot out of a little.
As soon as the decision was made about the blog name, I had a song pop in my head. It is a children’s song that I learned growing up. The song describes how I feel in opening myself up to others and letting my light shine. The song is called “Shine On.”
I have finally arranged and recorded a version of the song. I hope you enjoy it and maybe get some ideas how you can share the light you have with others around you, however YOU are able to with the gifts and talents you have.
Jesus is the Light of the World and it is Him we share. He alone has the power to brighten the world. Each of us has some of His light in us. Putting our light on a candlestick is how we can assist Him in His efforts to brighten our world. Brighten it with hope, with peace, with love.
